What do you guys think about Yoda learning from Qui-Gon? I believe Yoda to be much more powerful than Qui-Gon, but Yoda studies the Unifying Force while Qui-Gon studies the Living Force. If Yoda were a student of the Living Force, he would not need to learn from Qui-Gon. Plus, like someone said at the Official Site, Qui-Gon died. That, weirdly, gives him an advantage.

More powerful in the Unifying Force sense as you infer, yes. Yoda had many years of experience, and yet Qui-Gon seemed to have greater skills & knowledge of the Living Force, which is somewhat ironic (or at least quite interesting). Qui-Gon even told the council that Obi-Wan is ready for the trials, even though he still needed to learn more of the Living Force. One must wonder if he felt the same way about the council as a whole (but of course wouldn’t say it).

And so, Yoda must learn from Qui-Gon, and in humbly stating that Qui-Gon will become his teacher, Yoda again shows that his is truly a Jedi Master – and a class act.
