The Jedi Master Yoda

Yoda is an ancient Jedi master who was over 900 years old before his passing. Often underestimated in his stature, Yoda was one of the most powerful and intelligent beings in the galaxy. He trained many Jedi, such as Ben Kenobi, instructing all of his pupils fully in every aspect of the Force. But, when the great purges swept the galaxy, Yoda was one of the few to avoid Vader and Palpatine's rage. He hid himself on the swampy world of Dagobah, next to a cave where a Bpfasshi Dark Jedi once died, an area rich with the dark side of the Force. The Dark Side power and Yoda's Light Side power canceled one another and the small Gherkin was able to live contently in his hut, until one day a X-wing ship landed on Dagobah. Knowing full well who had come to see him, Yoda approached the young man, pretending not to be the Jedi Master, testing the youth for his patience and aptitude. Though reluctant at first, Yoda took the youth in as a student after revealing, much to young Luke Skywalker's shock, that he was indeed the Jedi Master, Yoda. Yoda taught Luke nearly everything he knows about the Force, and sent him down the road to self-discovery of the powers of the Force. Yoda died though, telling Luke about his dark heritage, and that there WAS indeed another Skywalker.

This Jedi Master's orgins are steeped in mystery. Among the planets, trees, and alien forms of the swamp planet Dagobah, Yoda made his home. It is here also that Yoda was to later meet and train Luke Skywalker. When Yoda was more than 900 years old, he met young Luke. Although he knew the dark secrets that lay hidden in Skywalker's past, he also knew that Luke was one of the last hopes of the Jedi and so amid the growing despair in the galaxy, began training him in the ways of the Force. Yoda's time in the physical realm was close to the end when Luke compleated his training but the Jedi Master's last student proved adept when he helped the Rebel Alliance to victory and brought down the evil Empire.

For over 800 years, the diminutive Jedi Master known as Yoda trained the most commited students in the ways of the force, guiding them into their roles of Jedi Knights, protectors of peace in the galaxy.

Yoda's orgins are steeped in mystery. His home is the swamp planet, Dagobah. There, among the plants, trees, and alien life-forms which glide through the mists, Yoda trained Luke Skywalker. One of his most successful students was a young man named Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Eventually the servants of the dark side of the Force brought down the ranks of the Jedi. As an era of despair grew in the galaxy, Yoda withdrew deeper into Dagobah, using the Force and the planets natural defenses to discourage visitors as he waited fir the tasks in his future.

When Yoda was over 900 years old, and walking with the aid of a gimer stick, he met a student of Kenobi's. Yoda knew that the young Luke Skywalker was one of the last hopes of the Jedi, so he began to train the brash youth in the ways of the light side of the Force. Yoda knew the dark that lay hidden in Luke's past, and that the boy might turn to the dark side if not properly trained. When Luke called his training short to rescue his friends on Besbin, Yoda knew that the boy was rushing to an uncertain future. Luke later returned to Dagobah to complete his training, but Yoda's time in the physical realm was at an end. The Jedi Master's last student proved adept at his lessons though, and used his training to to help bring down the evil Empire. After the Alliance's victory, Yoda appeared once more to Luke. Yoda had become one with the force, while Luke was now and forever, a Jedi.

Let Yoda be your mentor and you too can become a Jedi Knight. The nine hundred year old Jedi Master was a mentor and teacher to Jedi Knights. Yoda trained two of the greatest Jedi, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker. In his final years, Yoda lived on the swamp planet Dagobah, far away from the evil Emperor.

Scene-Stealing Yoda Who is Yoda? He's quite possibly the greatest new star in the Star Wars sequel, The Empire Strikes Back. Although just a few feet tall, Yoda, 800-yeat-old Jedi master and the fellow who taught Obi-Wan Kenobi everything he knows, has a winning personality that might just upstage his nuts-and-bolts rival Artoo in the charm sweepstakes!

More about the general overall Yoda, not his past.

Off of the internet.

Yoda is an mysterious individual and the details about him were lost during Emperor Palpantines empire. The is alot about Yoda that I don´t know so this story isn´t complete, it will probably never be."What is known has scattered about the galaxy and is incomplete at best" -Someones comments about Yoda

Yoda was an ancient Jedi Master that was over 900 old years before he finally died. He is often underestimated because of his size and appearance, but he was one of the most powerful and intelligent beings in the galaxy. Yoda was born approximately 900 BSD (Before Senate Dissolved) on an unknown location and he is a member of an unidentified species.

He spends most of his lifetime training young Jedi knights. He had a special way, he let the students study the force from every side and perspective, he also avoid the lightsabres when he´d never own one himself. Two of his best students ever were Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker. He trained many knights but when Darth Vader and Emperor Palpantine ruled the galaxy he was one of the few to survive the Dark side.Although Yoda is one of the greatest with the force, Darth Vader and the Emperor together forced even this Jedi Master to hide. He chose a small swamp planet named Dagobah to hid on, on this planet there was a cave where a Dark Jedi knight from Bpfassh once died so the cave were very strong with the force, but Yoda´s power with the light side and the caves powers with the dark side cancelled one another. This, among other things, stopped Emperor Palpantine to find Yoda.

So he lived in peace near the Cave, waiting for his final student to arrive. Yoda used the force to watch the student, Luke Skywalker, Yoda had known that Luke would come in centuries and he even saw their destinies take form. So one day a X-Wing crashed on Dagobah, Yoda knew from the beginning who had come, Luke. He invited him to his hut, without saying who he was. With comments and questions he tested Luke´s patience and attitude, after this little test Yoda was convinced that Luke wasn´t ready, that he was too young to be trained. But after a discussion with Skywalker´s former trainer Obi-Wan Kenobi he finally agreed. Yoda taught Luke nearly everything he knew about the force and let him go "the road of self-discovery of the force". Yoda knew that when he was gone Luke would be the last Jedi left, therefore he especially warned him of the Dark side.

One lesson when Yoda taught Luke to see the future and other places with the force, Luke saw his friends sufferunder the Emperor so he decided to interrupt his training and try to save them. Yoda, who knew that this was a trap, tried to stop him, he knew that only a full trained Jedi could stop Vader and the Emperor. But Luke left anyway. After he had left, Yoda started to age faster, because he knew that if Luke went over to the Dark side, the whole galaxy would be lost to the evil. Luke returned though, getting a smaller shock when he saw how old the great Jedi Master had become and he worried about Yoda and told him that he must complete Luke´s training and help him against the Dark side. But Yoda told him that with his return the training was complete, he also knewed that it was time to move on, and he gave himself up to the fate.

He died with one of his best students by his side, Luke Skywalker. His last words were: "Luke...Luke...Do not...Do not underestimate the powers of the Emperor, or suffer your father's fate, you will. Luke, when gone am I, the last of the Jedi will you be. Luke, the Force runs strong in your family. Pass on what you have learned, Luke...There is...another...Sky...Sky...walker."

With the last sentence he meant that Luke had a sister, they both were strong with the force and together they could stop Vader and the Emperor.

But Yoda just died physically, and he is now one with the force like no mortal can be.

Another one off of the internet.

The life of my master:

Yoda, the Jedi Master, was a mysterious individual. The details of his life were lost during the rule of the Empire. That is, of course, if they ever existed at all. What is known has scattered about the galaxy and is imcomplete at best, but my best attempt at compiling the information is below.

For over 800 years, he trained Jedi recruits in the use of the Force and the ways of the Jedi Knights. He did this until Emporer Palpatine's rise to power forced even this great Jedi master to hide. Yoda choose a small, swampy planet in the Dagobah system. There he waited for his final student to arrive.

When his final student, Luke Skywalker, found Yoda, Yoda was convinced that the young Skywalker was not ready to be trained. Yoda finally agreed by conferring with Luke's previous teacher, Obi-Wan Kenobi. With Skywalker's training complete, Yoda knew it was time to move on, and he gave himself up to his fate. Yoda is now one with the Force in a way no mortal can be.

My master's teachings:

On Jedi Knights
•A Jedi's strength flows from the Force.
•A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense, never for attack.
•For the Jedi, there is no emotion; there is peace. There is no ignorance; there is knowledge. There is no passion; there is serenity. There is no death; there is the Force.
•Great warrior? Wars not make one great.

On the Force, the Dark Side, and Jedi philosophy
•Let the Force be with you.
•If you choose the quick and easy path, you will become an agent of evil.
•Don't give into hate. That leads to the dark side.
•The dark side is not stronger. No. Quicker, easier, more seductive. You will know the good side from the bad when you are calm, at peace. Passive.
•No different. Only different in your mind.
•Many truths we cling to, greatly to our own point of view they depend.
•There is no why. Clear you mind of questions. Then understand you will.
•Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.
•You do not believe. That is why you fail.
